The fourth “Four Forces Approach of Chen Xiang” Global Speed-up Calligraphy Training with Zero Basis Internet and TV Campaign and Chinese Culture Communication Little Ambassador --Long Tianyi’s Calligraphy Exhibition was held in Beijing National Stadium, known as the Bird’s Nest, on 15th August, 2012. The event was co-sponsored by organizations as follows: China Painting and Calligraphy Art Committee, Language and Literature Press of Minister of Education, Newspaper of the State Language and Letters Committee, Jindun Press of the PLA.

Artistic Director of the China International Cultural Communication Center Tai Hesheng attended and addressed the event, he said, calligraphy is peculiar to Chinese culture and art as well, it bears the weight of 5000 history of the nation and is now beloved by Chinese people and internationally. Calligraphy embodies the combination of Chinese national culture and spirit of the time. As the essence of Chinese traditional culture, calligraphy is something that we are responsible for its inheritance and promotion. The little calligrapher Long Tianyi is merely 7 years old and yet his five calligraphy works, namely Peace, World Peace, Wind and Moon in the Sky, Excellent Jiangnan and Divinity were exhibited in the United Nations on 25, June this year, as part of the Spotlight on Chinese Ink Painting Art Exhibition at the invitation of the United Nations. His works were well viewed by international visitors, and particularly highly praised by the President of the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly Nassir, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Sha Zukang, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations Li Dongbao, and so on.

The so-called “Four Forces Approach of Chen Xiang” Global Speed-up Calligraphy Training was created and advocated by Chen Xiang in the year 1993. Over the last years, a series of popularization activities of calligraphy free education have been carried out by Chen Xiang and his team, exercising the “Four Forces Approach of Chen Xiang”, benefiting Hope Elementary Schools, orphanages, households of low income background in some remote areas, reaching people in the parks of cities, senior citizen activity rooms in communities, universities and armies. In the meantime, their influences went beyond the national border to reach Japan, Korea, Singapore, US and so on. Students who followed the “Four Forces Approach of Chen Xiang” come from different age groups ranging from five-year-old to ninety three; Long Tianyi is one of them.

The honorable director of Asia-Pacific Regional Branch of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Dr. Peng Jianhua and the senior artist and concurrently the Ambassador of Love of the China Charity Project Committee Teng Fang gave out the honorable certificate to Chen Xiang and Long Yuxiang, in recognition of their achievements in the Spotlight on Chinese Ink Painting Art Exhibition in the United Nations. China Youth Concern Committee Career Development Center sent a congratulatory letter to the Exhibition; another congratulatory message sent by Ms. Zuo Danhong expressed her best wishes to the Exhibition, Zuo is the great-granddaughter of the famous general Zuo Zongtang and she now serves as the International Association of Industry and Commerce. Dr. Peng Jianhua and Mr. Teng Fang delivered their warm addresses at the event, speaking highly of the Exhibition for not only displaying the talent of Long Yuxiang, more importantly, showing his diligence and industriousness. They hoped that Long Tianyi would make still further progress; further improve his calligraphy and achieve greater success in calligraphy in his future.
Honorable guests attended the events include the Executive Chairman of the China International Cultural Communication Center Long Yuxiang, Vice Director of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits Wang Zaixi, the honorable director of Asia-Pacific Regional Branch of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Dr. Peng Jianhua who also wears the hat of the president of the Canadian International School of Beijing, Director of the Commercial Points of the SASAC Ma Yili, the Ambassador of Love of the China Charity Project Committee Teng Fang, the Director of the Editor-in-chief Office of People’s Daily Yang Lixin, President of the Language and Literature Press Wang Xuming, President of the Jindun Press Zhang Yanyan, Editor-in-chief of the Newspaper of the State Language and Letters Committee Li Shijiang, Director of the General Office of the China International Cultural Communication Center Peng Shenglin, friends of the calligraphy circle, personages of Press, entrepreneurs.
The opening ceremony of the Exhibition was host by Xiao Ping, the Publicity Department director of the China International Cultural Communication Center.
